The history of Auberge De Kieviet dates from 1916 when, after 232 years, a tearoom was opened there. During their Sunday drives in their carriages, the well-to-do citizens of The Hague enjoyed a visit to this romantic stopping place.

At just a stone?s throw from the hotel, you will find the well-known ?Wassenaarse Slag?, a unique and beautiful dune area that leads to the wide expanses of the North Sea beach that is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
There are many ways to relax in these surroundings. You can bike or walk in the woods and over the dunes or you can visit one of the many nature reserves. At the reception desk, you can find maps of the ?Hollands Duin' and you can arrange for bicycles so you can explore the surroundings. Transport

Easy to reach from motorway N44, take exit Wassenaar-zuid. You are at Van der Oudenmeulenlaan. Follow this road, at the roundabout, keep on driving straight ahead. At your left hand, you will see the hotel. Take the first road left, and again the first road left, and you will see the entrance of the hotel. By bus, the hotel is easy to reach from Den Haag CS and Leiden CS. Only 30 minutes by car from Schiphol Airport.

Focusing on the season, the A la Carte Menu changes 4 times a year. The weekly changing menu is called Menu de Kieviet. Seasonal specialties like asperges and Christmas will also be prepared by our cook. Only fresh food will be used in the kitchen of Auberge de Kieviet. Besides, one can choose from many different kinds of wines. You will definitely enjoy a dinner in this cosy, comfortable restaurant, where all employees are dedicated to offer you a pleasant stay.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 7.50 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
